A large ornate doorframe led down stone steps to a basement full of wax. The floor was sticky where Ash stepped, even far away from the burning flames of the hundreds of candles, all melted together, their wicks intertwined.
Smoke stung in their eyes. The crypt's tender took Ash by the shoulder and squeezed their arm.
"Nobody gets away from this," He told them. "It's not your fault if you didn't know."
The old man, who carried his candle like a mark of shame, called himself Vincent, and he allowed Ash to stay and look as long as they needed. It was, he told them, only fair.
lyrics
I took
Too many pieces from within
And let the cold in
I took too long
To see what I'd become
Nowhere left to run
This is the first Wolfgun album I came across, years after its release. I thought it was in my collection already, but somehow it wasn't, so I wanted to fix that. I don't know what to say besides thank you; your music makes me feel like an interstellar explorer and fills my hear with wonder. It's given me a lot of joy over the years. softwarepaws
